Knives, Swords and Machete Recovered

Dear Community of Borough and Bankside,

Thank you for your continued engagement with our team and for raising your concerns regarding community safety on the ward.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share some recent positive developments. Over the past two weeks, our dedicated Ward Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) have recovered these large knives (photos attached) on separate occasions from the garden area of LANT HOUSE, SE1. These recoveries are significant, as such weapons in the wrong hands could have had serious — potentially fatal — consequences.

Whilst we currently have no direct information regarding who may be responsible for hiding these weapons or their intended use, the size and nature of the blades are deeply concerning. Please be assured that we continue to carry out regular patrols in the area, and we remain committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents.
